William Ayres died suddenly at this summer home in Circleville, Sept. 27, 1917 of heart disease. Born on the Homestead Farm July 12, 1843. In early manhood he was a contractor and built about 2 miles of the Crawford Branch Railroad, but a greater part of his life was spent in the milk business in New York City. He is survived by his wife Anna Clark Ayres, one daughter Jean Bell Ayres, at home one son, William Vincent Clark Ayres, One brother David Ayres, of Circleville, One daughter Martha Kate died in Childhood.
